About The Inner Harmony Tai Chi School

Cheng

The Inner Harmony Tai Chi School was founded in 2003 by Matthew Ward and is based on the south coast in Sussex, in the UK. Mat started his journey into Asian Martial Arts in 1982. He began studying primarily in Tai Chi and Chi Kung in 1997 with Simon Robins. He then went on to teach his own Tai Chi classes before founding the Inner Harmony School. He now teaches several classes all over Sussex and currently teaches over 100 students. As well as teaching his own private classes, Mat also works as an adult education tutor for West Sussex County Council, the Friends Centre project and also teaches classes for MIND, teaching those with mental health issues.
He is fully insured and a registered instructor with the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain. He is fully CRB checked, has completed a professional teaching qualification (PTTLS) and is a qualified emergency first aider.
