"I started Tai Chi to help with my balance and also for calming. I have osteo-arthritis in my neck and also have been diagnosed with bone thinning and had heard that Tai Chi was a good form of exercise to help combat both of these medical conditions.I now find it very enjoyable and it has now become part of my life.I feel much calmer, my balance is better and it has given me a lot more confidence in the strength of my body. It has helped with my osteo-arthritis in my neck which I have assumed is due to the fact that Tai Chi is helping me to relax. Also, since doing Tai Chi I have had another bone scan and the result was "no significant change". I am aware that may be due to lifestyle changes but I would also like to think that Tai Chi has played a part. I know I still have a lot to learn but when I'm in class (and using Tai Chi at home) I find that I am concentrating on what I'm doing and I forget all the worries and problems that I may be experiencing at that time. I find Tai Chi good for the body and good for the mind.- thoroughly recommended. I find the class environment friendly and relaxed - we all work well together and feel relaxed and confident enough to ask questions if we are having difficulty in understanding a move."

"I Began Tai Chi because after doing an office job for many years, I was in need of some gentle exercise. I enjoy doing the movements; I find them relaxing and calming. I have found that Tai Chi has greatly improved my balance, increased my leg strength, increased my stamina and helped release tension in various parts of the body. I find the class environment nicely informal and non-competitive."

"My flat mate started attending Tai Chi lessons and every time he came home I enjoyed asking him about it and learning some of the choreography. After a while I decided to try it for myself! It makes me feel calm, relaxed and lucid and it gives me the satisfaction of having learned something new each week. I feel I have better balance, I feel more relaxed and better able to cope with stress. I feel that I have a better understanding of both the world around me and of myself. It also gives me something practical to do when I'm bored! I find the class environment fun, informal, relaxing and enjoyable."

"I began Tai Chi because it's something I've always wanted to try mainly for health and relaxation. I find the quiet discipline and the constant challenge to improve very appealing. The more I practice, the better I feel. I like learning about what's going on inside my body as well as what you see on the outside. Tai Chi gives me something to focus on and has a very calming effect. I get a lot of back pain and learning to relax different parts of my body has made a vast improvement not only to my back but also with my tension and anxiety Too. There is a lot to grasp in Tai Chi and we are encouraged to ask questions. Matt's answers are very thorough but simple enough to follow. Nothing is rushed and we have a keen, friendly group making our class a pleasant and relaxed environment."

"I studied Tai Chi with Matt for 5 years. I never fancied joining a class but his passion for tai chi is so inspiring that I had to try it. He's incredibly relaxed about everything. I started because I wanted to be that calm. One of my favourite things about the classes is that they're focused but informal, with lots of open discussion and nothing particular to wear. He's a warm and interested teacher - a man of endless patience! Regular practice of Tai Chi has definitely changed me. My head doesn't feel cluttered anymore and I'm far more aware of my body. Matt's classes helped me to live in the moment and keep smiling, and what could be better than that?"

"I began Tai Chi for health reasons to improve balance and flexibility. I feel it has improved my general health particularly my balance and I am more flexible. I have enjoyed the sessions although I am not a quick learner this has not been a problem as it is possible to take time to absorb the form at a personal rate. The Class Environment is relaxed, as there is no pressure to compete with others and you can ask Matt to repeat a move until you feel confident. I find this aspect of the class very helpful particularly as Matt is a relaxed teacher and very encouraging to all the students. I have enjoyed being in a class with a wide age range and feel I have gained confidence and enjoyment from these sessions. I feel that this is due to the environment that is created by Matt".
